Details:

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is being adopted and promoted proactively in Hong Kong in recent years. Both public and private developers are trying to use BIM in their projects or implement BIM in corporate level. It is believed that BIM can bring significant changes to design, construction and operation over the lifecycle of building and construction projects by transforming the whole development process from inception, design and construction through to operation and facilities management. In order to achieve successful implementation of BIM, it is important to understand the paradigm shift and keep abreast of the latest technological advancements in BIM. This technical seminar will highlight the key concepts of BIM, discuss the challenges for BIM implementation, and explain the latest BIM technology trends. It is hoped that a better understanding of BIM can be developed to obtain real business value.
