Call for Papers

2020 Shanghai International Conference on Smart Living will be held during 27 – 29 May 2020 in Shanghai. The Conference is co-organised by the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST), The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).

The objective of the Conference is to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, scholars, industrial professionals to carry out extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on technologies such as Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Intelligent Hardware, Augmented Reality (AR) , as well as the impacts to the public and the opportunities and challenges for urban development brought about by the emerging applications, business models and management methods. It provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish network for future collaboration.

Theme: Smart Living – Concepts and Practices

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

1. Intelligent Transportation – Mobility
* Fusion of artificial intelligence and transportation (driverless, vehicle-road collaboration, data mining, etc.)
* Fusion of information service and transportation (transportation platforms and information
centers serving decision-making, management and public service, etc.)
* Fusion of future technology and transportation (the penetration of future cutting-edge technology into traffic, such as blockchain, robot, flying car, etc.)
* Fusion of strategic policy and transportation (regional integration, digital transportation, transportation power, etc.)
* Others

2. Intelligent Lighting – Security of functional lighting, night economic increment of landscape lighting, intelligent control of indoor lighting, lighting technology by DC power supply
* Smart street lighting in the construction of smart city
* Functional intelligent lighting control
* Application of multi-functional lampposts (smart lampposts) in urban construction in 5G Era
* Functional lighting and landscape lighting
* Technical application of intelligent lighting control mode with artificial lighting and natural light complementary to each other

3. Intelligent Healthcare – Application of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and robotics
* Facility management
* Clinical application

* Regular papers will be reviewed as finished papers.
* Authors are asked to submit their work in two stages. In stage one (abstract submission), a title, abstract, and a list of all co-authors should be submitted to the above-mentioned emails. In stage two (paper submission), the paper itself is submitted. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their paper submission meets all guidelines.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS
* Deadline for submission of abstracts is 24:00 Beijing Time (GMT+08:00), Tuesday, 31 March 2020.
* Deadline for submission of full papers is 24:00 Beijing Time (GMT+08:00), Wednesday, 15 April 2020.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
* All papers should be in WORD format only.
* Paper written in English should not be more than 8 pages; written in Chinese should not be more than 4 pages (including the abstract, figures, tables, and references). Please refer to the template in Appendix I.
* Authors will be notified of acceptance on or before Thursday, 30 April 2020.
* Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings in electronic format.
